Aphids, plant hoppers,scale, leaf spots and powdery mildew. These problems seldom become serious. This species can be extremely weedy. Birds eat the fruit and spread them. All honeysuckle shrubs require annual pruning to keep them in good shape and at a good size. They can tolerate very heavy pruning.
