2003 Shepherd’s Clinic, Jan. 6 and Jan. 13
Topics covered in the Clinic’s two sessions include increasing
lamb survival and assisting with difficult births, ram behavior,
biological controls for barn flies, sheep diseases, and the scrapie
eradication program. Presenting the topics will be A. Richard
Cobb, U of I Extension sheep specialist; Mike Neary, Purdue University
Extension sheep specialist; Debbie Royer, a sheep producer from
Washington; Rick Jones, the designated scrapie epidemiologist
for Illinois; and Clifford Shipley, associate professor in the

Sheep Grazing Telenet, Jan. 14.
The Sheep Grazing Telenet is targeted toward producers who want
to expand their knowledge on grazing, Topic include frost seeding,
as well as other timely topics. Producers will be encouraged to
ask questions and to participate in the discussion.
West. IL Grazing Conf. & IL Forage Institute, Jan.
11, 8:30am - 3:30 pm, Macomb
This program will be focused on best management recommendations
for forage production and pasture management. The Institute will
