Club Organization Leader Role Description
(in relationship to committees)

Purpose To assist members and volunteers in establishing club committees that will help the club operate in an efficient and effective manner.
Success Criteria

Establishment of standing and special committees.

Committees that meet, conduct business, and report to the entire club.

Responsibilities

Work with club to set up committees that are really needed.

Decide whose role it is to coordinate the committees. (officer or volunteer)

Inform the committees and club of the importance of committees.

Be certain that committees have goals and a time line.

Work with club to decide how to set up committees.

Encourage the committee chair to conduct an activity to develop a sense of teamwork.

Provide information about related county events/activities.

Be sure recognition is given for committee's accomplishments.

Target Dates

Beginning of year - planning with officers and club to determine committees

Beginning of year - orientation of committee chairs

Monthly - committee reports at business meetings

As appropriate - recognition of committee work

End of year - evaluation of committee structure and accomplishments
