Committee Role Description

Purpose: To complete the tasks to plan, implement, and evaluate a club community service project with the 4-H Club.

Success Criteria:

• Opportunity for each committee member to develop leadership skills by participating in committee work.
  
• Completion of a community service project by the club with the opportunity for reflection on the part of individual 4-H members.
  
• Report given to 4-H Club on completion of work.
  

Responsibilities:

• Attend meetings of committee
  
• Become informed on issue or business to be discussed
  
• Use the community service event planning sheet to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate activity or event
  
• Express opinion clearly and allow others to express theirs
  
• Accept responsibilities to share work load
  
• Accept decisions of the majority
  
• Fulfill committee assignment
  
• Report back to full club

Target Dates:

• One - two months prior to event through completion of the activity
