The following questions are good to take to a parent-teacher conference. Use them as a guide in talking with the teacher. Listen and make notes about how you can support the efforts of the teacher in your home. Think about how you and the teacher are trying to help your child be more productive and learn. The teacher can make a difference at school; you can make the difference at home by encouraging more learning!
How is my child doing in school? In reading? Math? Science? Social Studies?
How are my childs work habits? Does he/she complete work on time?
Is homework turned in on time?
Does my child need extra help in a particular subject?
What is my childs ability level? Does he/she comfortably work at that level?
How is my childs behavior?
Does he/she get along well with classmates?
Does my child participate in class activities?
Does my child show leadership abilities?
How can I help?
