Any of the food items on other pages may be considered a staple food item or a meal maker.  The following list are those that may be needed, but not chosen from other lists, or staples that aren’t eaten by themselves as a food but are a key ingredient to recipes.  The extras are those food items that are not essential, but add spice to eating.
