Idea Corner
Does your grandchild feel torn between a biological parent and
you? Most children want to love their parents, regardless of how
the parents have treated them or you in the past.
To help children deal with loyalty issues, tell them that they
have a big enough heart for both you and the parents. You may even
need to give the children "permission" to love their parents.
Grandchildren in this situation have enough problems without having
to deal with loyalty conflicts.
