Foamflower
Tiarella sp.

Good woodland groundcover. Prefers light to dense shade in well-drained soils that retain some moisture. Grows 10–12 inches tall in a mound shaped habit. Similar in appearance to coral bells but does a little better job of growing together to form a more dense cover. Foliage often variegated and deeply cut. Bottle brush-like flowers in late spring and sporadic throughout the summer. Space 14–16 inches apart. Perennial. Hardy in Zone 3.
