Lily of the Valley
Convallaria majalis

A good spreading groundcover for light to dense shade. Does well under trees and shrubs. Grows 6–8 inches tall with waxy, fragrant white flowers in spring followed by orange-red non-edible berries. Space 6–8 inches apart. Perennial. Hardy in Zone 4.
