19th Annual Gardener's Palette

Come join us once again for the 19th annual Gardeners Palette sponsored by University of Illinois Extension Unit 14, Adams County Master Gardeners, and John Wood Community College! Gardener's Palette will be held on Saturday March 1, 2014 from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm at John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL. The gardening workshop offers an exciting variety of horticultural and gardening breakout sessions for any gardener. Come join us and get prepared for the gardening season!
The $40 registration fee for Gardener's Palette includes a keynote speaker, breakout sessions, coffee/tea/morning cookies, buffet style lunch, access to the vendor fair with the latest Lawn and Garden Products, and materials for most of the breakout sessions.
This year's Keynote Speaker, Melinda Myers, will present Healthful Gardening in Any Available Space – she'll share with you how to plant a beautiful garden and landscape that's good looking and good eating! Melinda is the 2013 recipient of the National American Horticultural Society's B.Y. Morrison Communication Award, author of over 20 gardening books, and contributing columnist and editor for Birds and Blooms Magazine.
We have an exciting lineup of breakout sessions for this year's Gardeners Palette including Sensational Shrubs, Now Plants! Wonderful Annuals and Perennials for 2014!, Garden Design – Adding Whimsy and Fun, Edible Weeds, Planning your Organic Garden, Create Your Own Wildlife Sanctuary While Deterring Unwanted Guests, Super Sempervivums!, Seasons Extension for Home Gardeners, Power Perennials, Gardening Apps, and Yes You Can!: Preserving Safely.
