Culture

Shade to sun with moisture. Remove old flowers after blooming and occasionally thin the planting to open up to better air circulation and prevent stem diseases.

Cultivars

'Catlin's Giant' 6-12 inches very large burgundy green foliage

'Burgundy Glow' 6-12 inches variegated foliage of white, pink, purple and green. Slow weak grower.

'Atropurpurea' 6-12 inches bronze foliage

'Mahogany' 1-3 inches black purple foliage

'Chocolate Chip' 1-3 inches very thin burgundy foliage

Notes

Good ground cover in shaded areas but may tend to get aggressive and find its way to the lawn
