Features

Compact Hybrid Rugosa rose with mauve flowers that are 3-4 inches wide, semi-double (petal count 9-16) and extremely fragrant. Dense, heavily wrinkled foliage turns orange in fall. Heavy orange-red fruit set in the fall. Very good as a hedge.

Culture

Full to light shade. Well-drained soil. Prune by the renewal method removing one-third of the oldest canes in the spring as needed to keep the shrub open and new canes in production. Prune the stem back to a branch angle (a process called heading back) as needed to reduce width and height.

Notes

Very good repeat bloomer, excellent winter hardiness and disease resistance. Will also tolerate light shade.
