Angie Barnard has joined the
ACES Advancement team as director of development, Illinois 4-H
Foundation. Angie will be providing administrative leadership to the foundation
board as well as all aspects of advancement for the Illinois 4-H
program. Barnard graduated
from Iowa
State University with a bachelor's degree in
Public Service and Administration in Agriculture. She and her husband, Matt,
reside south of Gibson City. A native of Alexander, Iowa, Barnard
is a third generation 4-Her and was active in the Scott Scotties 4-H Club for
nine years with swine, clothing and home improvement projects as her favorites.
"I always enjoyed showing at the fairs and volunteering to help younger 4-Hers,
but the highlight of my career was being selected and attending National 4-H
Congress," said Barnard.
Following graduation from Iowa State, Angie spent seven years
working for Dow Chemical Company, a part of Dow AgroSciences, as a chemical
sales representative. This corporate background provided solid experience when
she came to University of Illinois College of Business. Over the past 2 ½ years
she has served as associate director of development, Corporate and Foundation
Relations.
