Angie Barnard has joined the ACES Advancement team as director of development, Illinois 4-H Foundation. Angie will be providing administrative leadership to the foundation board as well as all aspects of advancement for the Illinois 4-H program.

Barnard graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in Public Service and Administration in Agriculture. She and her husband, Matt, reside south of Gibson City. A native of Alexander, Iowa, Barnard is a third generation 4-Her and was active in the Scott Scotties 4-H Club for nine years with swine, clothing and home improvement projects as her favorites. "I always enjoyed showing at the fairs and volunteering to help younger 4-Hers, but the highlight of my career was being selected and attending National 4-H Congress," said Barnard.

Following graduation from Iowa State, Angie spent seven years working for Dow Chemical Company, a part of Dow AgroSciences, as a chemical sales representative. This corporate background provided solid experience when she came to University of Illinois College of Business. Over the past 2 ½ years she has served as associate director of development, Corporate and Foundation Relations.
