Jordan Ellena, Extension Educator, serves Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, and Putnam Counites with programming in community
leadership development, participatory community planning, and community economic development.
He has particular interests in helping local
governments and non-profits develop leadership capacity, building youth civic
engagement through youth-adult partnerships, and fostering entrepreneurship to
support creativity and economic growth.
Ellena is a native of Putnam County and holds
two degrees from the University of Illinois including a Bachelor's degree in Political
Science, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of
Illinois at Springfield.
He is a member of the American Society of Public Administration (ASPA), the Illinois Association of Community Development Extension Professionals (IL-ACDEP),
and various local community organizations.
