Megan Walsh provides leadership to the 4-H Metro
program in Will and Kankakee counties.
She collaborates with other 4-H staff to expand and strengthen the 4-H
program among underserved areas and populations within Joliet and
Kankakee.
Megan was a life-long 4-H member in the
Marshall-Putnam county 4-H program.
During college she completed an Extension internship in Woodford
County. After graduation Megan joined
the K-State Research and Extension team, in the Meadowlark District, to begin
the transition from three county 4-H programs to one unified district 4-H
program. Prior to joining Illinois Extension, Megan worked in Will County with a community Coalition that was working to reduce substance abuse amongst youth.
Megan received her Bachelor's Degree in Human
Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois. She holds a Master's degree in Youth
Development from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.
