Sandy Stiles provides leadership to identify and develop partnerships with other youth-serving organizations, working collaboratively to implement youth education initiatives. Her areas of focus include: positive youth development; science/engineering/technology; volunteer development; community gardening; and health/fitness.

She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in home economics education and Master of Education leadership development program with emphasis in working with special populations.

Stiles' career experience includes serving as an educator with U of I Extension in northern Illinois for 25 years. For the past 12 years, she served as Extension Unit Educator, Youth Development in Lee County, providing leadership to the Lee County 4-H and school enrichment programming. From 1997-1999, Sandy served as an Education-to-Careers Coordinator for Rock Valley College Tech Prep program in Rockford. She served as U of I Extension Educator, Consumer and Family Economics from 1992-1997. She was responsible for developing and delivering Consumer and Family Economics programs in the DeKalb cluster area encompassing DeKalb, Kane, Kendall and McHenry counties. From 1985-1992, Sandy served as Extension Adviser, Home Economics, programming for adult and youth audiences in DeKalb and Ogle counties.

Included among her awards and recognitions are: designation of the 4-H Health Jam as a National 4-H Program of Distinction in Health and Fitness; National Association of Extension 4-H Agents (NAE4-HA) Excellence in Teen Programming; Joint Council of Extension Professionals (JCEP) Team Award; National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA) National Youth Award; and University of Illinois Extension Outstanding Innovative Program Team awards.
