Features

Purple, pea-type flowers in long spike-like clusters, followed by pods that change from green to medium gray. Blue green foliage.

Full sun to partial shade; moist, well drained soil. Tolerates dry sites and infertile soil.

Notes

Blue False Indigo has a taproot which makes transplanting difficult. This plant is listed as threatened in Indiana and endangered in Ohio.
