Iris flowers with yellow crest on downward curving 'petals' (really sepals).

Culture

Full sun to partial shade; moist, well drained sites. Partial shade is best, but crested iris can be grown in full sun as long as soil is consistently moist.

Notes

Found in woods. Spreads by rhizomes and can be used as a goundcover.
