The easiest and most available bedding is newspaper. Most newspaper is okay except for paper with those fancy glossy ads. They sometimes contain material that can make me really sick.

Now for the fun part. Get a bunch of your friends together. You will need to tear the newspaper into one inch wide strips, putting them into a large plastic garbage bag. It takes a lot of paper to fill a bin.
